Our Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C) is a much-loved and valued part of the Cocos Islands District High School community. The P&C brings together parents, carers, staff and members of our wider community to work together to make our school an even better place for our students.
The P&C plays an important role in supporting the school and helping to build a strong sense of community across both Home Island and West Island. They provide a wonderful opportunity for families to have a voice, share ideas and help shape the experiences and opportunities available to our students.
Supporting our students and school
Our P&C works closely with the school to support a wide range of initiatives and activities. Through their fundraising efforts, they are able to provide additional resources, facilities and experiences that directly benefit our students.
The P&C generously helps to fund important student experiences, including school camps and Leavers shirts, as well as supporting a range of other school initiatives throughout the year. Their contribution makes a real difference to our students and helps us provide opportunities that might otherwise not be possible.
The Cocos P&C Fete
One of the highlights of the school and community calendar is our annual P&C Fete on Home Island. It is a wonderful community event that brings everyone together for a day of fun, laughter, food and fundraising.
The whole community comes along to enjoy the festivities, with fun activities for children, an incredible selection of food and plenty of opportunities to catch up with family and friends. The much-anticipated auction is always a highlight, with an amazing range of donated items and experiences on offer – there really is something for everyone!
The Fete is a fantastic example of the generous community spirit that makes Cocos Islands District High School such a special place to be.
P&C Uniform Shop
The P&C also operates the school uniform shop, making it easy for families to purchase school uniforms and other approved school clothing.

Get involved
The P&C welcomes the involvement and support of our school community. Whether you attend a meeting, volunteer at an event, help with fundraising or simply share an idea, every contribution helps.
We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm, generosity and commitment of our P&C. Their support strengthens the connection between our school, our families and the wider Cocos Islands community, and most importantly, helps create positive opportunities and experiences for our students.
