Absence & Attendance

Student attendance is vitally important. Students that attend school regularly do better at school.
It creates more opportunities for their future and leads to better health, social and work outcomes.

Things that you can do to increase your child’s attendance, visit the Department of Education website for more information about attendance at school. In order for students to maintain their Good Standing, they need to have 85% attendance. We encourage families to work with the school to maintain attendance rates. If you need to travel off island, please try to do so during holiday periods.

If your child is absent from school, or going off island for a prolonged period of time, please enter an attendance note in Compass. If you are unable to do this, please contact you child’s teacher via Seesaw or email. Alternately you can contact the administration office (WI 9162 6651 or HI 9162 7592).

Every day counts. Every lesson matters.

To speak to a Deputy Principal for support with attendance, please contact the school.
